Prof. Eugene Terentjev,为液晶高分子国际顶尖专家,近期工作集中在动态共价液晶高分子网络功能化以及理论模拟。发表多篇液晶弹性体领域的最经典论文,包括多篇于Nature,Nature Materials等。

联合招收博士后工作计划:拟结合合作双方的互补优势,深入研究含动态共价键的液晶高分子网络,探索新型网络设计及宏观材料性能,并建立相关力化学模型,合作将大大推动领域的发展。第一年: 在浙大开展液晶弹性体合成工作,在网络体系中引入动态共价键及光触发催化剂,并探索光催化对动态键交换动力学的影响。第二年:在剑桥大学Eugene Terentjev教授课题组继续该项目的研究工作,重点在于液晶弹性体的驱动性能的研究,并结合理论模拟深化动态共价网络的理解,建立相关理论。

Nigel K.H. Slater教授,剑桥大学化学工程与生物技术系教授,前系主任和负责企业和地区合作的副校长,领导剑桥大学生物科学工程研究团队,英国皇家工程院院士,浙江大学兼职讲座教授。Nigel Slater 院士目前主要从事高效生物技术药物开发,疫苗和基因治疗以及细胞治疗和药物输送等方面的研究。

联合招收博士后工作计划:第一年:在剑桥大学开展连续生物制造新方法研究,探讨多柱切换的连续分离过程,并将人工智能引入生物制造过程;第二年:针对单抗等生物制药行业的需求,开展连续分离的实验研究,实现连续生物制造过程的集成化和智能化,显著提高过程效率。完成相关研究的论文撰写并在高水平期刊上发表。

联合招收博士后工作计划:第一年:在浙江大学开展肿瘤靶向载体材料的设计合成与表征研究,设计合成高效的肿瘤靶向输送载体材料,用于癌症免疫治疗。第二年:在剑桥大学开展药物输送系统的生物评价和输送机理研究。完成相关研究的论文撰写并在高水平期刊上发表。

合作导师(浙江大学)及团队简介:

阳永荣,求是特聘教授,中国化工学会会士。主要在烯烃聚合反应工程、多相流反应器设计、资源的回收利用和过程集成等领域开展研究工作,形成了微化学环境研究和多尺度研究的较为完整的知识体系。近年来,有多项研究成果在AIChE J、Chem. Eng. Sci.、Polymer、Carbon等著名国际化工期刊上发表,获得包含国家技术发明二等奖在内的国家级奖励2项。更多信息请见阳永荣老师个人网页:https://person.zju.edu.cn/0089197。

合作导师(剑桥大学)及团队简介:

Markus Kraft教授,剑桥大学化学工程和生物技术学院教授,剑桥大学新加坡能源研究中心主任,剑桥大学碳减排化工技术中心(C4T)首席研究员。主要研究领域为利用模拟计算工具开发汽车、电力和化工行业碳减排技术、有机无机纳米颗粒的燃烧合成、细粉喷雾干燥和造粒等。

联合招收博士后工作计划:第1年(剑桥大学):以聚烯烃多相反应器为对象,基于模拟计算研究聚烯烃多相反应过程中的微流动环境和微化学环境耦合机制,提出强化微化学环境热质传递的潜在方法;

第2年(浙江大学):搭建实验平台,建立微流动环境和微化学环境的实验表征手段,验证热质传递强化方案的可行性,为新型多相反应器和新产品的开发提供指导。

二.选拔条件

1.近三年内获得国内C9高校或第四轮学科评估A+学科或海外顶尖大学博士学位;

2.身体健康,年龄不超过32周岁;

3.有良好的学术表现及学术发展潜力,未来有志于到浙江大学从事教学科研工作。

三.支持措施

1.每个岗位招聘1人,资助期为2 年。

2.入选者列入浙江大学博士后特别资助项目,学校给予每人20万元/年的资助,入选者公派赴剑桥大学工作期间,学校额外给予每人10-15 万元/年补充资助。

3.入选者在资助期内享受学校学科博士后相关福利,可申报全国博士后管理委员会相关博士后项目,同时也可以海外顶尖大学访问学者身份申请校外资助的其他经费。

四.考核要求

1.工作安排

入选者在双方合作导师指导下开展研究工作。国内高校毕业博士在站期间需赴剑桥大学工作至少1 年,国外高校毕业博士在站期间需在浙江大学工作至少1 年。

2.出站要求

入选者应根据浙江大学博士后管理工作规定完成相应的考核,完成研究工作并达到相应学科的博士后出站要求后办理出站。在剑桥大学合作发表的学术论文及其他成果可认定为出站成果,鼓励入选者与剑桥大学合作教授联合发表文章,第一署名单位及排名不计先后。

五.选拔程序

1.化学工程与生物工程学院成立招聘考察小组,对应聘材料进行筛选,通过面试环节对应聘者的科研能力、学术水平全面评估,并与剑桥大学合作导师商议,确定拟录用人选,报学校审批。

2. 申请者需提供以下书面材料:

(1)《浙江大学博士后申请简表》;

(2)相关附件材料,主要包括:① 学历学位证书复印件、身份证或护照复印件;② 申报表中列举的所有科研项目、获奖及专利情况的证明复印件;③ 5篇重要代表性论文的全文以及论文他引情况的证明(须经有关检索机构盖章);④ 5篇最具代表性他引论文的全文;⑤ 候选人现任职证明以及在国内外担任的其他重要学术职务的证明;⑥ 在国际学术会议上担任职务的证明以及作大会报告、特邀报告的邀请信或通知复印件;⑦ 其它重要的证明材料。

3.经学校批准录用人员,须登录中国博士后网注册,并按浙江大学博士后进站程序办理进站。

六.其他

1.联合招收博士后计划项目招收的博士后在2 年资助期结束时,应及时办理出站。如确因科研工作需要,申请延期出站的,应提前一个月向人事处报批,延长期间的费用由合作导师负责筹集。

2.联合招收博士后计划项目作为学校培养高水平国际化师资的人才储备项目,通过该项目培养的博士后研究人员在聘期内学术能力和业绩表现优秀者,出站后可申请学校“百人计划”或特聘研究员岗位,进入浙江大学预聘轨师资队伍。

Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program:College of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Zhejiang University and University of Cambridge

Ⅰ. Position

1. Position 1

Research Area: Dynamic covalent polymer networks

Supervisor at Zhejiang University:

Tao Xie is currently a distinguished professor at the College of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Zhejiang University. Research in his group focuses on the design of polymer networks for functional purposes (shape memory polymer and responsive hydrogels). Supervisor at University of Cambridge:

Eugene Terentjev is Professor of Polymer Physics at University of Cambridge and John Baldwin Fellow and Director of Studies, Queens' College. Eugene Terentjev is an experienced theoretician in soft condensed matter physics. His research mainly focuses on structure and dynamical properties of complex materials: polymer systems, liquid crystals and colloids, with an increasing impact in molecular and cell biophysics (biological polymers, tissues and cell mechanics). He worked extensively on the physics of liquid crystalline elastomers, which has resulted in several high-profile publications including Nature and Nature Materials.

Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):

Recent work on dynamic covalent polymer networks in both Prof. Xie and Prof. Terentjev has revealed great potential to design polymer materials with unusual properties not offered by conventional polymers. So far, the two groups have focused on two different classes of functional materials (shape memory polymers and liquid crystalline elastomers, respectively). In this joint program, we wish to collaborate on: new dynamic network design principle for liquid crystalline elastomers to expand the material properties; modelling of dynamic polymer networks with the goal to enhance fundamental understanding of this promising polymer class.

Year 1: Work with Tao Xie at Zhejiang University on the synthesis of dynamically crosslinked liquid crystalline network containing light triggered catalyst; investigation of the bond exchange kinetics.

Year 2: Work with Prof. Prof. Eugene Terentjev at Cambridge on: the spatially defined actuation behavior of the liquid crystalline elastomers, theoretical modeling that can predict the behaviors of dynamic covalent networks.

Supplement: In addition to the university funding, the supervisor will provide an additional 50,000 RMB/year and other research supports.

2. Position 2

Research Area: Biopharmaceutical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence

Supervisor at Zhejiang University:

Dong-Qiang Lin, Professor at the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Zhejiang University. He was the director of the Institute of Bioengineering. In recent year he focused on novel bioseparation technology, biopharmaceutical engineering, and bioprocess design. The main research fields are: (1) New methods and integrated processes for efficient separation of recombinant proteins such as antibodies; (2) Process simulation, economic evaluation and environmental assessment for intelligent biomanufacturing; (3) Modeling, integrated software and artificial intelligence applications of downstream processes. Supervisor at University of Cambridge:

Nigel K.H. Slater, Professor of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Cambridge. Prof. Slater is the Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He has been Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Regional Affairs at the University of Cambridge, and was the Head of Department, Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology. He collaborates widely with academia and industry in the UK, Europe and US to develop novel strategies for the manufacture, formulation and delivery of biopharmaceuticals. Current research focus on intelligent biomanufacturing, novel delivery strategies for DNA and viral therapeutics, the improvement of the long term stability of biopharmaceuticals and affinity methods for their purification.

Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):

Year 1: Work with Prof. Nigel K.H. Slater at University of Cambridge on new methods and process approaches of continuous bio-manufacturing and artificial intelligence applications.

Year 2: Work with Prof. Dong-Qiang Lin at Zhejiang University on the integrated and intelligent manufacturing process for biopharmaceuticals, especially monoclonal antibody, and bioprocess design and control to significantly improve process efficiency.

Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication.

Supplement: In addition to the university funding, the supervisor will provide an additional 50,000 RMB/year.

3. Position 3

Research Area: Tumor-targeting delivery for cancer immunotherapy

Supervisor at Zhejiang University:

Jianbin Tang received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2006. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemical and and Petroleum Engineering at University of Wyoming from 2006 to 2008. Currently, he is a Professor in the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Zhejiang University. He has published 100 scientific papers with a H-index of 32. His research focuses on nanomaterials and drug delivery for cancer diagnosis and therapy. Personal website:https://person.zju.edu.cn/jianbin.

Supervisor at University of Cambridge:

Year 2: Work with Prof. Nigel K.H. Slater at University of Cambridge on the biological evaluation and mechanism study of the drug delivery system for cancer immunotherapy. Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication.

Supplement: In addition to the university funding, the supervisor will provide an additional 50,000 RMB/year.

4. Position 4

Research area: The coupling mechanism of the micro-flow and micro-chemical environments in multi-phase reactors and its application in the development of high-performance polyolefin products

Supervisor at Zhejiang University and his research team:

Prof. Yongrong Yang is the Qiu Shi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University and a Fellow of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China. He is mainly engaged in the research of olefin polymerization reaction, multi-phase flow reaction engineering, the recycle and utilization of resources, and the process system engineering. He has gained lots of experiences on the theory research of micro-chemical environments and multi-scale chemistry. In the past five years, he has published more than 60 SCI-indexed papers and won 2 national awards including the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awards. Supervisor at University of Cambridge and his research team:

Prof Markus Kraft is a Fellow of Churchill College Cambridge and Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. He is the director of CARES, the Singapore-Cambridge CREATE Research Centre, and Principle Investigator of C4T the “Cambridge Centre for Carbon Reduction in Chemical Technology”. He has a strong interest in the area of computational modelling and optimization targeted towards developing carbon abatement and emissions reduction technologies for the automotive, power and chemical industries. Together with his research team he has also contributed significantly towards the detailed modelling of combustion synthesis of organic and inorganic nanoparticles and worked on spray drying and granulation of fine powders.

Work Plans (Tentative Schedule):

Year 1 (work in University of Cambridge): To investigate the coupling mechanism of the micro-flow and micro-chemical environments in multi-phase reactors for polyolefin by mathematical modelling, and then develop the potential methods to intensify the heat and mass transfer in micro environments.

Year 2 (work in Zhejiang University): To establish the experimental system and develop corresponding methods for the detection of micro-flow environments, prove the feasibility of the methods to intensify the heat and mass transfer, and supply the guidance for the development of new multi-phase reactors and new polyolefin products.

Ⅱ. Eligibility

1. A Ph.D. degree within the recent three years from domestic C9 universities, or from “A plus” disciplines of the fourth round of national discipline assessment by China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center, or from top overseas universities.

2. Good health; under 32 years old.

3. Good academic performance and research capability. Interested in teaching and research positions at Zhejiang University in the future.

Ⅲ. Funding

1. One quota for each position. The successful candidates will be funded for two years. The full salary will be 200,000RMB/year from Zhejiang University. An additional grant of 100,000RMB/year will be supplied during the period of work at University of Cambridge by Zhejiang University.

2. Successful candidates will also enjoy the benefits of common postdoctoral program at Zhejiang University in projects application. They can also apply for other external funding as a visiting scholar at the top university abroad.

Ⅳ. Assessment requirements

The selected candidates will carry out research under the guidance of the cooperative supervisors of both universities. Graduates from domestic universities shall work at University of Cambridge for at least one year. Graduates from the foreign universities shall work at Zhejiang University for at least one year. The candidates should fulfill the corresponding assessment according to the post-doctoral management regulations of Zhejiang University, complete the research work, and reach the post-doctoral requirements of the corresponding disciplines. The selected candidates are encouraged to jointly publish articles with professors at University of Cambridge. Academic papers and other achievements published together with professors at University of Cambridge can be regarded as the achievements of the postdoctoral program.

Ⅴ. Application Procedure

1. The selection is merit based and opens to all candidates at home and abroad. The School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering will set up a recruitment committee and comprehensively evaluate the research ability and academic level of the candidates through interview processes and report to Zhejiang University for approval after discussion with the professor at University of Cambridge.

a. a copy of academic degree certificate, and a copy of ID card or passport;

b. a copy of all scientific research publications, awards and patents listed in the form;

c. 5 representative papers (full-text) and the proof of citation (subject to the seal of retrieval);

d. full text of 5 representative other citation papers by other peer scientists;

e. proof of your current study/work status and other important academic memberships at home and abroad;

f. proof of the position at any international academic conferences, and a copy of the invitation letter for keynote speech;

g. Other important supporting materials.

3. Once approved by Zhejiang University, the selected candidates shall finish the registration procedures and will be subject to the management of Zhejiang University.

Ⅵ. Others

1. Successful applicants should finish the research work within the 2-year funding period. Application for extension as needed by research shall be submitted one month before the expire date. The expenses shall be covered by supervisor during the extension.

2. The joint program is a talent reserve project for Zhejiang University. The qualified selected candidates may apply for the Hundred-Talent Program or research positions (ZJU tenure track positions) after completion of the program.
