Description

We are seeking a postdoctoral scientist interested in immune signalling pathways to join Simon Davis' research group at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Weatherall Institute.

The successful candidate will be the experimental lead on a collaborative project funded by the MRC between the Davis laboratory and the research groups of Chris Tape at UCL and Evangelia Petsalaki at the EMBL-EBI. The study will use genomic screening approaches to understand how immune checkpoints differ with regard to the molecular mechanisms of their activity in three major types of immune cells (i.e. B cells and T cells, and myeloid cells), and to learn whether it will be possible to exploit these differences therapeutically.

You will hold a PhD degree, or equivalent, in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, or similar subject and have experience of working with cell culture and have practical experience of CRISPR-Cas9 genome-editing. Interest in engaging with -omics datasets and computational analysis methods are highly desirable.
