Postdoc in entrepreneurship with a focus on learning and impact
In collaboration with Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) the Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Postdoc in entrepreneurship with a focus on learning and impact. The starting date is expected to be January 1 2024, or as agreed upon during consultation.
Under Copenhagen Business School's strategy of transforming society with business, this three-year full-time postdoc will contribute to the Department of Business Humanities and Law's strategic focus on how business humanities can contribute to entrepreneurship research and education through exploring the intersection of entrepreneurship, learning and impact. The empirical context of the study are the educational initiatives and the incubation processes at Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) at CBS. The theoretical foundation for research in entrepreneurship, learning and impact is diverse. At the department of Department of Business Humanities and Law's researchers integrate entrepreneurship and pedagogy with insights from interpretative social science and the humanities. Considerable emphasis is placed on qualitative social science methodology. It will be up to the successful candidate to give form and content to the research project based on research interest.
For more information about the position you can contact CSE Director Ashlea Wallington (aw.cse@cbs.dk) or Vice Head of Department at BHL, Associate Professor Lena Olaison (lo.bhl@cbs.dk).
Research Environment The Department of Business Humanities and Law is dedicated to an integrated approach to the contemporary challenges facing business and society drawing on the humanities, interdisciplinary social sciences, and law. It emphasizes problem-oriented research to understand those challenges and to build the lifelong capabilities necessary to address them. Faculty within the Department of Business Humanities and Law have diverse research backgrounds and research foci including but not limited to leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics, strategy, law, politics, economics, sociology, philosophy, history, anthropology, diversity, equity and inclusion, culture and leisure management. What unites faculty is an overriding concern for the organization of the human within its multiple environments and, by implication, a research interest in the interdisciplinary “conversation” between humanities and social sciences. Within the Department of Business Humanities and Law, the position will be located in the Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership Unit, an interdisciplinary research environment connecting leadership to business ethics and entrepreneurship.
Given the engagement and central role of the Department of Business Humanities and Law in developing inter-departmental research environments and teaching philosophy of science across the study programmes of Copenhagen Business Schools, the candidate should demonstrate a capacity to collaborate across departments, disciplines and research environments.
