Position description
The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a 50-100% FTE (remote positions is ok) postdoctoral position in Environmental and Occupational Health.
Additional Information: Postdoc level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for two years; renewal is dependent on availability of funding.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Requirements:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment and have a strong research background in the area of injury and violence prevention. The incumbent is expected to work independently with occasional supervision and will have (co-) authored/presented at least 4 or more professional presentations or peer-reviewed publications in area of study and focus. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training in injury and violence prevention with strong research backgrounds, previous contributions to research and creative activity. Candidates with experience in studying health disparities and violence prevention; managing, linking and analyzing large complex secondary data sources (e.g., claims data, transportation data); and conducting complex analysis (e.g., Difference-in- Difference, time series, Generalized Estimating Equations) are preferred.
-Requires candidates with strong data analytical skills and/or community engagement research experience. Preference will be given to candidates with solid background in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental/occupational health, and with excellent communication skills. -Position may require occasional out-of-state travel to school sites and team.
