Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nanopore Characterisation of Proteoforms and Functional Small Molecules

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nanopore Characterisation of Proteoforms and Functional Small Molecules to work under the supervision of Professor Yujia Qing and Professor Hagan Bayley for a period of 12 months. The project focuses on developing molecular tools for nanopore characterisation of proteins and small molecules.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment. The research requires experience in synthetic chemistry and biocatalysis. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry and is available as soon as possible.
