The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice seeks to hire one or more fulltime Post-Doctoral Fellows with training in health services research, health economics, decision sciences, behavioral science or a related discipline. Dartmouth is an international leader in research focused on evaluating health system performance and health reform, in studying informed patient choice, and in developing new models for health care delivery.  The mission of the Dartmouth Institute is to improve health and health care in the United States through its research and educational programs and through its active engagement with both health systems and policy makers.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of investigators working in one of three priority research areas:

• Evaluating health care delivery and payment system reform
• Patient engagement and shared decision-making
• Implementation and evaluation of new models of care

Candidates for this fulltime 2-year fellowship, must have a recently-awarded PhD, MD/PhD,  MD/MPH or MD/MS. Post-doctoral Fellows will participate in research projects and his/her responsibilities will include literature reviews, data analyses and manuscript writing.  Post-doctoral Fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in Career Development Seminars. The candidate will be encouraged and expected to develop an independent line of research. There is a potential for progression into further employment opportunities at the faculty level.

Dartmouth is located in a beautiful four-season setting surrounded by mountains, waterways, myriad of recreational opportunities and cultural offerings.  Metropolitan areas like Montreal, Boston, and New York are close by.  The area offers excellent public schools and an outstanding medical center.
