Job Description
| The Chaput Laboratory at The Biodesign Institute at ASU is seeking highly qualified postdoctoral candidates to work in the field of Chemical Biology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of publication and extensive experience in the areas of chemical biology, protein engineering, and/or molecular evolution. The successful candidate is also expected to be an independent scholar with experience and knowledge of contemporary synthetic organic chemistry. Candidates will be expected to work under the guidance of the principal investigator and collaborators as well as to mentor graduate and undergraduate students, maintain appropriate records and manage data. Experience with scientific journal writing submissions and the ability to write reviews and articles for submission is required. The specific focus of the open position(s) is to expand the field of synthetic genetics by developing and using engineered polymerases capable of coding and decoding synthetic genetic polymers. Preference will be given to candidates with proven expertise, as shown by recent publications in high impact journals. |
