Description – A full-time post-doctoral fellowposition is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jens Lohr at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our translational and basic research efforts. Our research focuses on the application of genomic approaches and single cell technologies to cancer therapy discovery with the ultimate goals of 1) Deciphering mechanisms of drug resistance in multiple myeloma and other types of lymphoid malignancies, 2) Understanding the basic biology of circulating tumor cells, exosomes and cell-free DNA in the evolution of cancer, and 3) Translating bench discovery to clinical care. The fellow will interact and collaborate closely with other laboratory-based scientists and computational biologists across the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the BROAD Institute, and will be involved in a series of research activities including cellular and molecular cancer biology; low input genomics; epigenetics.

Job Qualifications

Phd, MD, or MD/PhD

Familiarity with laboratory techniques and principles of molecular biology

Knowledge of computers and experience with databases

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment required

Two year commitment is required

Schedule

Full-time opportunity beginning January 1, 2016, or later

Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week
