Postdoctoral fellowships available in biomedical image processing and segmentation

The Scalable Tissue Imaging and Modeling (STIM) Laboratory at the University of Houston has available postdoctoral positions in the area of image processing and segmentation for terabyte-scale 3D data sets. Our work focuses on imaging and modeling of large biomedical samples using high-throughput microscopy (KESM, confocal, SPIM) and mid-infrared spectroscopy.

Researchers will be developing techniques to analyze large images of kidney, bone, and brain tissue collected using various optical microscopy modalities. In addition, fellows will be expected to work closely with biomedical researchers to

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Completed a doctoral degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field, with research experience in visualization and image processing (including data mining, visualization, and machine learning).

* Demonstrate a strong potential for successful interdisciplinary research and clinical collaborations.

* Willingness to provide support to both undergraduate and graduate students through mentoring and collaboration.
