The position involves the supervisión of the Valencia node of the National Stem Cell Bank, and its personnel, including a postgraduate researcher and predoctoral researchers. This position is funded by the Platform of Biomolecular and Bioinformatic Resources, whose objectives are to carry out research in stem cells, to generate new stem cell lines to be deposited in the bank, and to offer a portfolio of services to public and private institutions. The tasks involved are the following.

- To do research on the procedures and technologies to obtain stem cells and to

differentiate them in the desired cell types.
– To generate new human stem cell lines, mainly induced pluripotent stem cells.
– To characterize at the molecular, cell and functional levels the new cell lines generated, and those already in the collection of the node, according to the criteria established by the nodes.
– To give service to other research institutes, companies, hospitals and biobanks that may need to generate stem cell lines, technical
support in stem cell technologies, or advice in research planning andr research grant applications.
- To participate in the management of the activities and portfolio of the National Stem Cell Bank, in collaboration with the bank technical
committee and the other nodes.
- Training and communication in stem cell technologies, and the activities and services of the National Stem Cell Bank.
