We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Victor J. Dzau. Specifically, we are looking for a postdoctoral scientist interested in expanding and strengthening our two main research areas; (1) microRNA-mediated cardiac reprogramming, and (2) repairing heart damage through the use of novel stem cell-derived factors. Competitive candidates will have earned a PhD and/or an MD degree within the last 5 years. The position requires excellent skills in cell & molecular biology, mouse genetics, cell signaling and biochemistry. Other highly desirable qualities include good writing skills and a background in either cardiovascular research or stem cell regenerative biology. Duke University is an excellent institution with world-class research programs; the environment is diverse and multicultural. Salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIHguidelines.
