Postdoctoral Positions Available – RNA genomics in Cancer : Chicago, IL, United States

An RNA genomics laboratory at Northwestern University is seeking postdoctoral fellows working on the regulation of gene transcription and RNA translation in cancers in two areas: experimental and computational. Our group uses cutting-edge high-throughput genomic technologies, such as single-cell RNA-seq, ribosome profiling, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq and CLIP-seq, and computational modeling to identify key genes and associated regulatory circuits underlying oncogenic processes. Our work will reveal novel therapeutic strategies for precision medicine and immunotherapy of cancer. Ideal applicants should meet following requirements:

Experimental Postdoctoral Fellows:

1) A Ph.D. degree in biomedical-related sciences;

2) Strong training in one or more of the following areas: RNA biology, cancer biology, immunology, stem cell biology, molecular biology, genomics and mouse models;

3) Familiar or experienced with genomic technologies.

Computational Postdoctoral Fellows:

1) A Ph.D. degree in computational biology or other quantitative research areas;

2) Strong programming skills in ((Python | Perl | C++ | Java) & (R | Matlab));

3) Excellent quantitative background in statistics and machine learning, and/or computational genomics applied to high-throughput genomic data analyses.

The lab is located in the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University in downtown Chicago.
