Vacancy Description

A vacancy exists in the Radiotherapy Physics Modelling Research group of The Joint Department of Physics for a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to perform research on the development and validation of automated MRI-based treatment planning.

We are seeking an accomplished and driven enthusiastic physicist/engineer or computer scientist with a strong background in computational methods and software development. You will be part of a CRUK funded Accelerator network grant ‘ARTNET’. This network of five leading RT centres in the UK (The Christie, UCL, Oxford, Leeds, ICR/The Royal Marsden Hospital) will support the acceleration of implementing advanced treatment technologies and protocols into clinical practice.

You must hold a PhD degree in physical, mathematical or computer sciences, and have demonstrable experience of programming scientific software as well as experience of image processing.

The Joint Department of Physics at ICR/RMH focuses on the application of physics and engineering to cancer research ranging from fundamental research to the support of patient treatments. We operate a core hour system between 10am and 3pm for general open meetings.
