Job Title:  Postdoc / Research Associate Positions in Neurodegeneration / Neuroprotection Job Number:  4014664   Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Job Description Postdoctoral / Research Associate positions are available in the William C. Friday Research Laboratory at University of North Carolina-Pembroke's Biotechnology Center, to contribute to multidisciplinary projects focusing on neurodegenerative disorders as well as neuroprotective signaling and related pharmacological avenues. As part of state funding and DOD-funded projects, we use hippocampal slice cultures and in vivo models to study therapeutic targets and to develop new-generation drugs for the treatment of dementia, excitotoxic damage, and traumatic brain injury. A PhD in a relevant field is required. Experience in cell culture, confocal microscopy, immunoblotting, and academic English skills for preparing first-author publications and oral communication are expected.
