Postdoctoral position is available immediately to investigate the underlying mechanisms of maternal obesity-induced offspring adiposity. Study will focus on how maternal obesity or intra-uterine environment programs the life-long adverse effects on lipid and glucose metabolism. Small rodents and cultured cells are main research models. Molecular biology and biochemistry techniques will be used. Candidate should be highly motivated and has a doctoral degree in molecular biology, nutrition, biology, biochemistry or related field, and strong background in obesity and development research. Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team is essential. Experience in rodent fetus or obesity is preferred.
