Engineering Tomography Lab (ETL) is a leading tomographic imaging centre based in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bath. This project is based at ETL and in close collaboration with Atout Process. Atout Process is specialised in technology development with extensive innovation expertise in the process tomography industry. We are developing a novel high speed magnetic induction tomography system for multi-phase flow imaging.

We are looking for an inventive postdoc or research engineer to join our rapidly expanding research team.

Objectives:

• Engineering of novel measurement systems including electronics and software.
• Engineering sensor front end and mechanical design of MIT sensor
• Analogue electronic design
• Digital electronic design
• Extraction of process parameters from diverse sensor data.

Profile:

Postdoc or Graduate, in electronic and electrical engineering, self-motivated and innovative engineer with postgraduate research or engineering experience in a relevant area including:

• Electronic design.
• Electromagnetic Sensing.
• Technical software development for hardware design.
• Real-time data analysis.
• Multiphase flow metering.

This position is being offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) Fixed Term Contract basis, to end no later than 5 September 2015. The salary for this post does not attract any incremental movement on the Grade 7 scale.
