Job Description

Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the ECE Department at Stevens Institute of Technology

The Department of Electrical and Computer at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non-tenure-track Postdoctoral Research Scientist position starting on August 1, 2020. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in embedded system design, signal processing, and machine learning. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are aiming to recruit one postdoctoral scientist in the Bio- Electromagnetics Laboratory (https: // www. tavassolian-lab.com) .The research project aims to develop a multi-modality wearable sensor system for biomedical applications, specifically, for the monitoring of the cardiovascular system for adults or fetuses.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing new techniques for processing bio-signals collected from non- invasive sensors

Develop new embedded systems for wearable health monitoring applications

Learn appropriate biomedical and clinical knowledge for cardiovascular monitoring

Work with Ph.D. students at the Bio-Electromagnetics Laboratory to develop collaborative projects of interest

Prepare documents for publishing research findings in research journals and presentation at conferences

Assist in preparing and submitting research grants
