The position is for a post-doctoral researcher to work on a Leverhulme Trust- funded project ‘The Path of the Labour Share in the Short and Long Run' based at the School of Economics, University of Kent and led by Dr Mathan Satchi and Prof. Miguel León-Ledesma. The post is 18 months duration.

The project's focus is on understanding the joint short- and long-run behaviour of the labour share of income through the lens of equilibrium macro models. You will help with constructing, implementing, and estimating models which, most often, will involve the use of non-linear solution methods.

The candidate will be judged primarily on their research potential for this area as evidenced by their job market paper (or equivalent).

Other skills that may help the candidate include:

 strong training in macroeconomics, with knowledge of economic growth, DSGE models, computational methods, and a good understanding of Macroeconomic theory

 programming: Primarily Matlab and possibly Julia. Some experience of R and Stata would be welcome

 some experience of estimating general equilibrium models is also desirable
