Postdoctoral Associate

Yale School of Medicine (YSM)

The laboratory of Joseph Schlessinger in the Department of Pharmacology at the Yale School of Medicine has immediate openings for highly motivated Postdoctoral Associates to investigate mechanisms involved in cell signaling.

The Schlessinger Lab has been at the forefront of cell signaling, helping to define cell signaling by receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) and making many seminal discoveries within the field. The research in the Schlessinger lab is focused on structural elucidation, biophysical and biochemical analyses as well as studying the role RTKs and other signaling molecules in murine model systems of RTK signaling.

Priority will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. degree with extensive experiences in developing and analyzing the phenotypes and underlying physiological mechanism of genetically modified murine model systems, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Positions are also available for candidates with a Ph.D. degree with experiences in recombinant protein production (E.coli and mammalian cells), mammalian cell culture and quantitative biophysical analyses including structural biology technique (X-ray crystallography or cryo-EM), and excellent written and oral communication skills.
