Postdoctoral position in Computational Protein Modeling and Design

Your mission : The Laboratory of Protein Design & Immunoengineering (LPDI) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) is seeking talented, motivated, and passionate individuals to join our efforts of developing novel machine learning methods for protein modeling and design.

Main duties and responsibilities include : The research at the LPDI focuses on the development of experimental and computational techniques to design proteins with therapeutic and biotechnological applications. Our lab has developed the first geometric deep learning pipeline for protein binding.

For this position, a particular emphasis is given to the development of machine learning and computational methodologies for vaccine design, protein- protein interaction inhibitors, biosensors, and broadly synthetic biology. Our group has a strong collaboration with Michael Bronstein at Imperial College London, an expert in geometric deep learning.

Your profile : We are especially looking for applicants with a very strong background in machine learning, with experience in developing, implementing, and using new deep learning architectures using Tensor Flow/PyTorch.

We expect the candidate to have excellent programming skills. Previous experience in bioinformatics, protein modeling and design, 3D geometry analysis and processing, and geometric deep learning is desirable, but not mandatory.
